Privacy policy

Effective October 5, 2026

The short version: we use cookieless analytics, we don't sell your information to advertisers or data brokers, and the only personal details we handle are the ones you choose to give us by calling or filling in a callback form.

Who we are

NeighborFix Guide (neighborfixguide.com) is an online referral service. NeighborFix Guide is a free referral service. We are not a contractor and do not perform services. Calls and requests are connected to independent local service providers who pay us for referrals. You can reach us at hello@neighborfixguide.com.

Visiting the site: cookieless analytics

We measure how the site is used with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. Umami does not set cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other websites. It records page views and a few anonymous events, such as tapping a call button, submitting a form, using a tool or scrolling far down a page, along with general information like the referring website, browser type, device type and country or region. We use this only to see which pages are useful and to fix the ones that aren't. Because no cookies are used, there is no cookie banner.

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don't use those logs to identify visitors.

Calling a number on this site

Phone numbers on this site belong to a third-party pay-per-call network, which routes your call to an independent local provider. When you call:

• The network receives your phone number, the time and length of the call and the number you dialed, and uses them to route the call and to work out referral payments.
• The network may record calls for quality and billing purposes. NeighborFix Guide does not record calls.
• The provider who answers receives your number and whatever you tell them, and handles it under their own practices.
• We receive reports from the network, such as how many calls a page produced and how long they lasted, so we know which pages help people.

The network's own privacy policy governs the information it collects.

Callback and quote forms

If you submit a callback form, we collect your name, phone number, ZIP code and the description you type, plus the page you sent it from. We use these only to pass your request to up to 3 independent providers who serve your area, so they can contact you by phone call, text message or email about that request. Providers who receive your request may contact you using automated technology. You can tell any provider to stop contacting you, and you can reply STOP to text messages.

We keep form submissions only as long as needed to deliver the request and handle any questions about it, and we aim to delete them within 30 days. We never ask for payment details, Social Security numbers or account passwords.

Forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam bots. Turnstile checks your browser for signs of automation without tracking you across sites.

Emailing us

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete the conversation when it's no longer needed.

Sharing and selling

We don't sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers, and we don't share it for advertising. The one exception is the one you ask for: when you call or submit a form, your details go to providers (through the network) so they can help you, and we're paid for that referral. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Your choices

• Ask us what form data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@neighborfixguide.com.
• Block or opt out of analytics with your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker. The site works fine without it.
• To stop a provider from contacting you, tell them directly, or ask us and we'll pass the request along.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging home services. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
