- Water utility and source. Cynthiana Water Works (EPA system IN5265004), owned by the town, buys its water from German Township Water District; EPA lists the town's old well and treatment plant as inactive and the system as serving about 699 people through 270 connections. Source
- Where the water comes from. EPA records show German Township Water District, Cynthiana's water supplier, in turn buys surface water from the Evansville Water Utility. Source
- Sewer collection improvements. The Indiana Finance Authority's SFY 2027 clean water priority list includes a Town of Cynthiana sewer collection system improvements project estimated at $758,000, with a current sewer rate listed at $73.40 per 4,000 gallons. Source
